Round 23 Preview Perth vs South Fremantle
This week is the last round of the home and away season with the Demons taking on the Bulldogs at Lathlain Park (Please note that parking will still be available in the Roberts Road Car Park and the Roberts Road turnstile entrance will remain open).
Last week Perth defeated Swan Districts by 50-points at Steel Blue Oval while South Fremantle won a close encounter against East Perth by four-points at Leederville.
The Bulldogs have won both encounters against the Demons this season, defeating them by 98-points in round five and by 37-points in round 20.
In the reserves last week Perth lost by 16-points to Swans while South Fremantle lost by 79-points to the Royals.
Kurtis Chester (30 possessions, seven marks, three tackles, five I50’s, two goals), Todd Stevenson (27 disposals, seven marks, five tackles, one goal) and Matt Thompson (21 possessions, 11 marks, four I50’s) all performed strongly for the Demons.
Last time these teams met in round 20 the match ended 12.11 (83) apiece. The Bulldogs defeated Perth by 34-points in the earlier match this season in round five.
In the colts this week it is South Fremantle who is in first position on the ladder taking on the second placed Demons. The winner of this match will earn a week off next week and will wait to see who the play in the preliminary final. The looser of this game will have to play Claremont in the first week of the finals.
Last week Perth lost by 12-points to Swan Districts while the Bulldogs won by 57-points against East Perth.
The Demons have won both matches against South Fremantle this season, defeating them by 31-points in round five and by 21-points in round 20.
Bounce down is 2:15pm, following Reserves at 11:30am and Colts at 9:00am.
