This weekend Perth travels down to Mandurah to play Peel Thunder in round 18 of the 2013 AAMI WAFL Premiership Season.  It should be an exciting day of football with the Demons looking to stay inside the top four and as usual we look forward to seeing as many people as possible wearing red and black on Saturday.

Last week Perth won their seventh game in a row when they defeated Subiaco to the tune of 48-points.  This had the Demons back inside the top four, a position which they hadn’t been in since round two this year.  Peel Thunder had the bye last week and did not play.

Perth has won both times these two teams have met this season, winning by five goals in round one and by 27-points in round 14.

With the Demons now fourth on the ladder, they will be looking for a win over the Thunder who are eighth, to continue their push towards finals in September.

Last week Perth recorded a 51-point victory over Subiaco to remain top of the ladder.  Peel who are at the foot of the table did not play last weekend as they had the bye.

The Thunder got the chocolates when these two teams met in round one, winning by 12-points but it was a different story when the two teams played each other in round 14, with the Demons winning by and emphatic 126-points.

Perth, who has occupied first position on the ladder for much of the season, will be looking to continue their winning ways when these two teams met for the final time this season on Saturday.

In one of the scrappiest games of the season last week, Perth kicked five of the last six goals to see off a determined Subiaco side by 26-points.

Perth have got the four points both times these two teams have played each other this season, with the Demons winning by 12-points in round one and by 50-points in round 14.

With Perth regaining fourth spot on the table last week with their victory over the Lions, they will be looking for another win when they play the eighth placed Thunder this weekend.  A loss could see East Perth overtake them on the ladder, providing the Royals can beat Swan Districts.
