The 2017 Butcher Medal will be held on Friday night in the Club's Main Hall.

After a disappointing season results wise for the Demons, many players enjoyed strong campaigns on an individual level and Friday night's Butcher Medal is about recognising those individuals.

English wins Jack Clarke Medal, daylight second

Young midfielder Luke English on Wednesday night took home the 2017 Jack Clarke Medal as the WAFL's best-and-fairest colt.

English (53 votes) took home the medal in convincing fashion, finishing 22 votes clear of Claremont's Jack Lewsey (31 votes) in second.

What's more frightening than English's 22 vote win is the fact that he played the entire 2017 season as a 16-year-old and is eligible to play colts for another two years.

Milton Milloy joins Perth board

Junior Vice President of the WA Country Football League Milton Milloy is the newest member of the Club's board after being appointed as Associate Director of Country Football.

Milloy brings with him an extensive history in country football dating back to the 1970s.

Development to face Swans in do or die final

Perth's Development side will play Swan Districts in an elimination final on Sunday at Steel Blue Oval, bounce down 11.50am.

Coach Andrew Panetta will have the tough task of picking 23 from the 39 players eligible to run out and represent the Club on Sunday.

Drew Morphett's Lathlain Links

The prominent sporting broadcaster Drew Morphett, who died suddenly at his Victorian home in Pakenham last Friday (August 25) aged 69, had fond memories of Lathlain Park and Perth’s late captain and premiership coach, Ern Henfry.
