Farewell to Sam Stubbs: A Lasting Legacy On and Off the Field

After six incredible years with the Perth Football Club, we bid farewell to Sam Stubbs, a highly respected player, leader, and community advocate whose impact has been felt across all levels of our club.
Sam has been a valued member of both our League and Reserves teams, known for his on-field grit, reliability, and undeniable goal kicking ability. Loved by teammates, coaches, and supporters alike, Sam’s contributions in the red and black will be remembered fondly. Whether he was leading by example during a tough contest or offering quiet support behind the scenes, he consistently embodied the values of the Perth Football Club.

Beyond his playing career, Sam has made a profound contribution to the club as our Indigenous Engagement Officer over the past two years. In this role, he has led the way in strengthening cultural awareness, fostering genuine connections, and promoting meaningful dialogue around reconciliation and inclusion. His work has helped build a stronger, more unified club environment, and his leadership in this space will leave a legacy that endures well beyond his time at Lathlain.

Sam now steps away from the football club to focus on a new and exciting chapter, fatherhood. While we are sad to see him go, we are incredibly proud of the man he is and grateful for all that he has given to the club.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sam Stubbs for his years of service, passion, and leadership, and we wish him and his family nothing but happiness and success in the future. He will always be a part of the Perth Football Club family. ❤️🖤
