Match Report: Perth Football Club WAFL vs Claremont
Round 10, WAFL League | June 13, 2026
Perth continued its impressive mid-season surge on Saturday, travelling to Revo Fitness Stadium and handing Claremont a 17-point defeat, 17.6 (108) to 14.7 (91).
The Demons set the tone from the opening bounce, exploding out of the blocks with a dominant first quarter. Perth piled on 6.1 to Claremont’s 1.2 in a blistering start that ultimately laid the foundation for the victory.
The win was one of Perth’s most complete performances of the season, coming against a Claremont side that entered the match at the top end of the ladder. While the Tigers fought back throughout the middle stages, the Demons maintained their composure and responded whenever challenged to secure an important road win.
Once again, Brandan Parfitt was instrumental through the midfield. The in-form ball winner finished with 27 disposals, 8 inside 50s and a goal, consistently driving Perth forward and creating opportunities in attack. Alongside him, Charlie Constable (25 disposals) and Austin Davis (24 disposals) provided plenty of support, while Matthew Taylor continued his strong season with 23 disposals.
Up forward, Lochlan Paton delivered one of his best performances of the year, finishing with 17 disposals and 5 goals in a highly efficient display. Aaron Clarke added 3 goals of his own, while Kane Johnston continued to impact around goal with another 3-major performance.
The Demons’ midfield and ruck connection proved crucial throughout the afternoon. Joshua Edwards and Zac Harding combined for 42 hit-outs, helping Perth gain ascendancy around stoppages, while the side’s pressure around the ball was reflected in 73 tackles for the match.
Behind the ball, the defence stood up strongly when required. Philip Baxter, Charlie Dean, and Elijah Scoble all played important roles in limiting Claremont’s opportunities and helping launch attacks the other way. Further up the ground, William Tilbee continued his impressive development, collecting 17 disposals and booting 2 goals, providing plenty of run and energy in another strong performance from the emerging youngster.
The victory continues Perth’s strong run of form and lifts the Demons into third position on the WAFL ladder as the season reaches its halfway point.
Next up: The boys have a bye through Round 11, but host South Fremantle on June 27.
