Match Report: Perth Football Club WAFLW vs Subiaco

Round 11, WAFLW | June 13, 2026

Perth moved into sixth position on the WAFLW ladder after a hard-fought four-point victory over Subiaco at Sullivan Logistics Stadium on Saturday.

In a tight contest from start to finish, the Demons showed plenty of resilience to secure a valuable 5.8 (38) to 5.4 (34) win on the road. After building an early advantage, Perth was challenged throughout the afternoon as the Lions fought their way back into the game, but the visitors stood tall in the key moments to come away with all four premiership points.

The midfield once again led the charge, with Isabella Shannon and Amy Trindade producing standout performances. Shannon was influential across all areas of the ground, collecting 26 disposals, 10 marks, 5 tackles, 4 inside 50s and a goal in a complete display. Trindade matched her with 26 disposals, providing a crucial spark both through the midfield and inside 50.

In the ruck, Molly Warne was dominant around stoppages, finishing with 35 hit-outs to give Perth first use throughout the day. Her work at the contest helped set the platform for the Demons’ midfield to gain territory and maintain pressure around the ball.

There were important contributions across every line. Isla Baldwin continued her strong season with 19 disposals, while Holly Britton gathered 18 disposals and kicked a goal. Alyssa Smogavec was outstanding defensively, laying a team-high 8 tackles to go with 17 disposals, while Sienna Timmermans worked tirelessly around the ground, collecting 17 disposals and 6 marks.

Up forward, Perth shared the scoring load with Natalie House, Holly Britton, Isabella Shannon, Brooke Whyte, and Jessica Green all contributing majors. The even spread of goal kickers reflected a strong team performance and ensured the Demons had contributors at important moments throughout the afternoon.

The Demons’ pressure remained a feature throughout the afternoon, laying 57 tackles and refusing to allow Subiaco easy possession as the game tightened in the second half.

The result keeps Perth’s momentum building as the season enters its final stretch, with the group continuing to show its ability to win tough contests away from home.
