Match Report: Perth Football Club WAFLW vs South Fremantle Bulldogs
Round 3, WAFLW | April 11, 2026
It was a dramatic finish in Round 2 for our WAFLW side, fighting right to the final siren to secure a draw in a game that looked out of reach late.
Trailing in the dying moments, the group showed incredible composure under pressure. Molly Warne stood tall in defence with two clutch, game saving marks at full back, giving us one last chance to go forward. From there, Amy Trindade stepped up after the siren and delivered when it mattered most, calmly slotting the game tying goal to cap off a remarkable finish.
Across the day, there were strong contributors around the ground. Isabella Shannon was outstanding and deservedly named our Trademark Player, leading the way with 31 disposals and providing consistent drive through the midfield. She was well supported by Holly Britton (20 disposals) and Isla Baldwin (19), who both worked hard to keep us in the contest.
The effort was evident across four quarters, with the side laying 44 tackles and continuing to apply pressure even when momentum wasn’t going our way. While we had our challenges at times, particularly in converting opportunities, the team’s resilience and ability to stay in the fight was a clear positive.
To come away with a draw in those circumstances speaks volumes about the group’s determination and belief.
Next up: We’ll look to build on that momentum heading into Round 3 when we take on Peel Thunder at Lane Group Stadium.
