Hungry Jack’s Community Engagement Manager Appointed
The Perth Football Club is proud to appoint Oscar Bird to the role of Hungry Jack’s Community Engagement Officer.
Oscar, a member of the Senior Squad has been appointed to grow and promote football within the Perth District.
CEO Russ Clark said “The Hungry Jack’s Community Engagement Manager role has been the major building block for the PFC Community Engagement Program. This position has allowed greater focus and interaction for the PFC with the Community. Programs like the Penrhos College Female Football clinics, Belmont Oasis clinic and Mark’s Mission with Brightwater have all been possible thanks to the Hungry Jack’s funding of the CEM role. Oscar is well placed for the position having worked at Kennedy Baptist school last year and is well supported through his tertiary education.”
“I am proud and excited to be appointed as the Community Engagement Manager for the Perth Football Club. This role, made possible with the generous support of Hungry Jack’s, will allow us to develop meaningful and mutually beneficial community programs locally and regionally in a way we have not previously been able to do so as a football club. The role will also strengthen our involvement with local schools, and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to work with young people to share with them my love of the game, and all the benefits it can bring to individuals and communities.”Bird said.
He added “There are a lot exciting, upcoming developments on and off the field at Perth Football Club in 2022 and in the coming years, providing our football club a unique opportunity to help and involve as many people in our community as possible. As examples I am very much looking forward to helping to develop our women’s program, to collaborating with regional communities, assisting to develop our disability inclusion and to creating new programs in the community.
Having been a part of this club in a playing capacity for the past year, I have thoroughly enjoyed the support of such a strong community, and I am so pleased to now continue a significant role off the field for the future of this club - which has a proud 123-year history.”
