It’s with great admiration that we celebrate Perth Football Club (PFC) Life Member Peter Kennedy, whose exemplary service to the print and broadcast media has earned him the prestigious recognition of being appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

PK as he’s known is a much-loved former ABC journalist who was the face and voice of the national broadcaster's political coverage in WA for over 20 years.

For decades, PK contributed to the WA media landscape with dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to public service. His career defined not only by his brilliant journalistic acumen but also by his genuine passion for telling stories that matter.

But PK’s influence stretches far beyond reporting on Australian politics. His enduring love and support for the PFC is a testament to his deep ties to his community. 

As a dedicated supporter of the club for over half a century, PK has passionately cheered on the Perth Football Club through its highs and lows, demonstrating the same loyalty and commitment that has defined his approach to his professional career. 

His support for the Demons speaks to the heart of who he is—someone who deeply believes in the power of community and the importance of supporting those who work tirelessly for a common cause.

PK doesn’t just cheer from the stands; he tries to amplify the club’s voice, advocating for us, and ensuring the Demons are never overlooked.

His love for the club was not just about winning, but about standing up for his team and his unwavering support for the Demons is a source of pride for the club and an inspiration to the red and black family.
