Round 5 Preview Perth vs South Fremantle
The Demons will be looking to bounce back after a frustrating day in front of goals against the Lions when they play the Bulldogs this Saturday at Lathlain Park.
Perth took it right up to Subiaco last week in all areas except scoreboard efficiency. Both teams had 23 shots on goal with the Lions kicking 14.9 (93) to the Demons 4.19 (43).
South Fremantle have been impressive so far this season winning their opening three matches before having the bye last round.
The only defeat they have suffered this year was during the preseason fixture back on March 12th. Perth won that game by 25-points.
The Bulldogs won three out of the last four encounters between these two sides with an average winning margin of 20-points.
Spencer White who was a late withdrawal last week with a minor foot injury will have to pass a fitness test if he is to line-up this weekend against South Fremantle.
In the reserves the Demons winless start continued as they lost by 43-points, however several players continue to push their case for selection.
Fraser Millar collected 30 possessions, 9 marks, 4 tackles, 4 I50 and a goal and has put together a solid three weeks of football in the reserves while Brad Keast had 21 disposals and Rowan Brookes kicked four goals.
In the colts Perth won by 53-points to remain the only unbeaten side this season along with this week’s opponents the Bulldogs.
Bounce down is 2:15pm, following Reserves at 11:30am and Colts at 9am.
