VALE DOUG SIMMS

Sadly former player Doug Simms passed away recently after a long illness. Doug represented the Club in excess of 90 League matches after winning the Reserves Fairest & Best award in 1976. He was a prodigious left-foot kick, playing mainly across half-forward and topping the League goal-kicking list with 50 in 1981.

Doug’s brother Wayne also represented the Club with distinction. We pass on our sincere condolences to Wayne and all of the Simms family at this difficult time.
