Demons partner with RMH Perth in WAFL first
Perth Football Club have officially kicked off their Major Charity Partnership with Ronald McDonald House Perth.
Perth are the first WAFL club to partner with the house and are excited about working together to provide a home away from home for regional WA families who have a sick child receiving hospital treatment in Perth.
Perth's zone covers a large country district from Wongan Hills in the east to Dongara in the north so it was a natural fit to support a foundation that provides support to families when they have to travel far from home to obtain specialist medical care for their sick child.
The club will contribute to the house financially by dedicating next Saturday's home game against the Swans to Ronald McDonald House, with part of the proceeds going directly to the house.
The club will also raise money for the house by taking part in the upcoming Central Park Plunge and by shaking tins at other events throughout the year.
The Demons will also provide support in the form of player volunteering, cooking meals for the families, and hosting unique kids events at both the football club and at the house.
Together, Perth FC and Ronald McDonald House Perth hope to provide a safe and comfortable environment where families can stay and thrive together for the duration of their child’s treatment.
