PREVIEW: Round 21 v Peel Thunder
In the final away game of season 2017, the Demons head down the Kwinana Freeway to take on reigning premiers Peel Thunder at Bendigo Bank Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Perth will be eager to bounce back from last weekend's disappointing defeat at the hands of Claremont.
Their opponents, the Thunder, are coming off a round 20 bye after consecutive losses to Subiaco and Swan Districts.
After being restricted to just one goal after quater time against the Tigers, coach Earl Spalding will be looking for a four quarter effort this week in Mandurah.
Saturday's game against Peel will be Brent Edmonds' 50th league game for the club.
The 23-year-old debuted back in round one, 2014 after vice captaining the club's colts side to finals in 2013.
Brad McPhail, Joseph Ugle, Tom Gooch, Callum Marshall and Jake Schleicher are potential round 21 inclusions, with all five in strong form at Development level.
Perseverant young gun Cody Leggett is set to make his long awaited return from a knee injury sustained during a preseason training session back in January.
The 21-year-old has played 32 league games for the club after debuting in round 23, 2014.
Leggett is set to give the Development side a much needed boost in their quest to consolidate third spot.
A win over eight placed Peel on Saturday will go a long way in helping the Demons secure third spot and the double chance.
The colts will be looking to rectify last Saturday's one point loss to Claremont when they take on Peel Thunder at 9am on Saturday morning.
League bounce down is 2.15pm, with Development getting underway at 11.30am.
