Match Preview Round 10 v South Fremantle Bulldogs
Heading into Round 10, the eighth place Perth Demons are preparing to take on second place South Fremantle Bulldogs in what will be a tough home encounter at Lathlain Park this Saturday.
For the majority of games this season, the Demons have shown strong form and determination. If sustained, this suggests they can match it with the stronger teams in the competition.
The test for the young and improving group will be to perform at the level required to compete with the strongest WAFL teams for the whole four quarters.
South Fremantle can be expected to come into the game full of confidence after their derby win in Round 9, however with the Bulldogs coming off a five day break, it may assist the Demons in their goal of securing their third win of the season.
In Round 10, the Demons will be seeking to increase their on ground communication to positively influence the game. Increased communication will help to achieve the improvement sought by maintaining the game plan and structures for longer periods.
“Once again, we will be tested in our ability to shut down a powerful midfield group while continuing to find avenues for us to hit the scoreboard,” Coach Earl Spalding stated.
Players to watch who are in form include Captain Clint Jones, Brant Colledge and Corey Yeo, while we expect strong improvement in their second game back from injury from Michael Sinclair and Devin McFarlane.
Show your support for the Demons this Saturday in the Round 10 clash. There will be fun for the whole family, with the McDonalds fan zone and some great giveaways.
