Round 11 Match Preview v Sharks
Coming off the back of a stellar performance in Round 10, the Demons are looking to follow it up against the Sharks in what is set to be another tough contest.
The win against second-placed South Fremantle has given the Demons a strong confidence boost and some reward for their consistent effort and improvement throughout the season. This week the Demons will be looking for two wins in a row at League level for the first time since 2016.
When we last met East Fremantle, we were defeated by just seven points. Although the Sharks have struggled in their last two games, traditionally the games between the two teams are tough encounters with a close result.
The Demons forward line have demonstrated their tenacity over the 2018 season and are constantly working on pressure, conversion and consistency. The reward for this was evident on the scoreboard last week, when kicking 15 goals against the Bulldogs.
It is that level of commitment we will be looking to bring again this weekend as we meet the Sharks.
Bouyed by strong performances from Sinclair, McFarlane and Lague in the back half, and Jones, Yeo and Taylor through the mids, the Demons will go into this round with confidence and minimal changes to a winning line up for the first time in coach Earls Spalding’s tenure.
