Futures Competition Update

The Perth Football Club Futures side played three rounds of the 2020 season before the competition was cancelled as result of the COVID pandemic.

During the lockdown Futures Coach and Perth past player, Scott Moore, kept the players engaged through weekly zoom meetings that featured a different special guest each week, including Deven Robertson, Chris Masten, Tendai Mzungu and Chance Bateman.

When they were allowed to recommence training the Talent coaching team, led by Michael Pratt, suggested that the Futures join the Colts at their training sessions.  This was a great experience for them and the first time they had trained at Mineral Resources Park as their program had been run offsite.

For the remainder of 2020, Futures will run under a carnival structure. This mini-Futures program allows the players to get back on the park with their Futures teammates and reconnect with the WAFL talent programs.
