Ride to the Other Side
The Rotary Club of Armadale is participating in the chairty event Ride to the Other Side, an epic mower ride around Ausrtalia, driving a Hustler Super Z Mower 15,000KM over the next six years and raising $1 Million dollars for Rotary Projects.
Craig Alford from Armadale Mower World, proud sponsor of the Perth Football Club, is the Assistant District Governor of Rotary District 9465. Craig will be riding the mower over 2,100KM from Kalgoorlie to Adelaide in the ride's second leg in February 2013.Departing on 15 February from the Kalgoorlie Golf Club, Craig will be making a grand entrance at the Clipsal 500 V8 Supercar round in Adelaide on 28 February.
Craig and the Rotary team (12 volunteers) has already completed the first leg of the journey in March 2012 with a 661KM ride from Perth to Kalgoorlie, successfully raising $65,000 for several worthy causes.
In 2013, Craig and the Rotarty team are aiming to raise $200,000 to assist with Mental Health Research through Australian Rotary Health, Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness through Rotarty Projects and EJ Whitten Foundation.
