SEASON FINISHES FOR RESERVES
SEASON FINISHES FOR RESERVES
By Mark Thornber
Perth’s Reserves bowed out for season 2013 after losing the Preliminary Final to West Perth by 42 points at Claremont Oval on Sunday.
The match was very even early on until the Falcons scored 4 goals to 1 to take a handy lead at half time. Perth fought back in the third term to only trail by 8 points at three quarter time, however could only manage 1 point in the final term as West Perth kicked 5 goals to run away with a comfortable victory.
Better players for Perth included Joel Leeson with 22 touches and Cameron Manuel and Kieran Hug each with 20 possessions.
It was a disappointing finish to the season for the Reserves side that finished the regular season on top of the ladder with the club finishing an impressive third overall in the Rodriguez Shield.
