Youth Girls Get A Kick Out Of Gala Day
On Sunday the 6th of July The Perth, South Fremantle, Swan Districts and East Perth District Football Development Council’s ran a youth girl’s gala day at Anning Park. The event was hosted by the South Fremantle Women’s Football Club.
The four teams from our district – Lynwood, Queens Park, Thornlie and Manning all participated. In the tough conditions the girls had an absolute blast, getting to play a whole group of different teams from across other districts.
It was a great way to encourage the girls to develop their footy skills against the state’s best. All girls received a football for participating. The carnival finished up in time for the girls to stick around and watch the Western Australian Women’s Football League (WAWFL) match involving South Fremantle and Peel.
It was a great day out and we hope to have even more girls teams involved next season.
