WAAFL Awards Night
The 2014 WAAFL (West Australian Amateur Football League) Medal Presentation Dinner was held on Monday night in front of a packed room of more than 870 people at Crown Perth.
President of the WA Amateur Football League John Davies opened proceedings by recognising the new innovations which clubs have embraced.
"This season we asked coaches and umpires after every game about the spirit in which their game was played."
"Of the 1800 responses, 94% of coaches and umpires agreed our game is being played within the Spirit of the Game."
"That statistic is absolute testament to all players and coaches who play for the love and enjoyment of football."
It was also a great night for Sarina Aston from Manning Rippers JFC. Sarina received the Administrator of the Year award. The Demons District would like to extend their congratulations to Sarina and all the other award winners on the night.
