White Takes the Reins
The Perth Football Club is pleased to announce that Dene White will captain the club in season 2015.
White, the reigning Butcher Medallist takes over the reins from Paul Bevan, who returned to Sydney at the end of last year.
White who had 2012 off because of his work at the fire fighting academy has been a consistent performer since he returned to the club, having not missed a game over the past two seasons.
When White takes the field for the first time in 2015, not only will it mark his debut as captain but it will also be his 100th appearance in the red ‘n’ black.
Joining White in the leadership group will be Chris Billings and Mitch Morton.
Billings has played 78 games for the Demons and is one of the most experienced players in the squad.
Morton came to the Demons last year after his time in the AFL system came to an end and played 12 games, kicking 21 goals.
We wish Dene, Chris, Mitch and all of the playing group all the best for season 2015.
