Round 18 Preview Perth V Subiaco
Round 18 sees Perth taking on Subiaco at Medibank Stadium.
The Demons are coming off an improved effort against East Perth and will be looking to continue that this weekend.
These teams last played each other back in round seven with the Lions winning that match by six goals. Subiaco have won the past four encounters against Perth with an average winning margin of 44-points.
Last week the Demons were competitive for three quarters but conceded five goals in the last quarter to lose by 20-points against the Royals while the Lions had the bye.
Subiaco are currently three games clear at the top of the ladder while Perth is at the bottom of the table.
Perth (reserves) last week lost to East Perth (reserves) by 35-points.
Last time these two teams met the Lions recorded a 68-point victory against the Demons.
Subiaco are in second position on the ladder while Perth is seventh.
Perth (colts) had a massive win last week when they defeated East Perth (colts) by 70-points.
The Demons were 22-point winners when these two teams last met back in round seven.
Perth needs to keep winning if they’re to stay in finals contention. Currently they are in seventh position, a game a percentage outside the top five. The Lions are bottom of the ladder.
The colts kick things off at 9am on Saturday with the reserves playing at 11:30am and the league team rounding out proceedings at 2:15pm.
