Round 22 Preview Perth V Peel Thunder
This week Perth takes on Peel Thunder at Lathlain Park in the final home game of the 2015 season.
The Demons had a tough day at the office last week losing to minor premiers Subiaco by 93 points while the Thunder lost to East Perth by 32-points.
Peel has recorded wins in the previous two games against the Perth this year. In round four they won by 5-points and in round 14 the won by 62-points.
The Demons will have to be wary of Connor Blakely who is averaging 26 possessions, 4.5 marks, 3 tackles, 3.5 I50’s against Perth this year, Jacob Ballard (23 disposals, 2.5 marks, 2 tackles, 3 I50’s), Brendon Jones (21.5 possessions, 3 marks, 4 tackles) and Gerald Ugle (21 disposals, 4 marks, 4 I50’s, 1.5 goals).
The Thunder are fourth on the ladder and are pushing for a home semi final while the Demons are ninth and will be this seasons wooden spooners.
Perth (reserves) last week lost by 62-points to Subiaco (reserves) while Peel Thunder (reserves) was defeated by 86-points against East Perth (reserves).
Last time Perth (reserves) played Peel Thunder (reserves) the game ended in a draw. The Demons recorded a win earlier on in the season by 49-points.
Perth (reserves) is in seventh position on the ladder while Peel Thunder (reserves) is ninth.
Perth (colts) kept their finals hopes alive with a comprehensive 44-point victory over Subiaco (colts) while Peel Thunder (colts) defeated East Perth (colts) by 91-points.
Perth (colts) defeated Peel Thunder (colts) by 25-points back in round four but the Thunder defeated the Demons by 120-points in the return fixture in round 14.
Perth (colts) who sit seventh on the ladder are a game and percentage behind the third placed Peel Thunder (colts).
The colts kick things off at 9am on Saturday with the reserves playing at 11:30am and the league team rounding out proceedings at 2:15pm.
