Round 23 Preview Perth V East Fremantle
This week Perth takes on East Fremantle at Atom Stadium in the final game of the 2015 season.
Both teams haven’t had the best of years but will be looking to at least finish the season with a win.
The Demons played the Sharks four weeks ago and recorded only their second victory of the year, winning by 19-points.
These teams also played each other back in round eight with East Fremantle victorious by 24-points.
Regardless of the result both the Sharks and Perth will finish eighth and ninth respectively.
Last week the Demons were gallant but went down to Peel Thunder by 13-points while East Fremantle lost to Subiaco by 77-points.
In a closely fought match Perth (reserves) last week defeated Peel Thunder (reserves) by one goal while East Fremantle (reserves) lost to Subiaco (reserves) by 61-points.
In round eight Perth defeated the Sharks by 52-points and in the return fixture it was East Fremantle who go the chocolates, winning by three-points.
Like their league sides both the Demons who are seventh on the table and the Sharks who are eighth will be playing for pride.
Perth (colts) last week went down by 28-points to Peel Thunder (colts) while East Fremantle (colts) defeated Subiaco (colts) by 77-points.
East Fremantle has recorded victories by 29-points and one-point against Perth this season.
The Demons needed to win last week to keep their finals chances alive heading into the last round but their loss means that they will finish either sixth or seventh. A win for the Sharks could see them finish as high as third and play Claremont in a qualifying final while a loss could see them finish as low as fifth and either play Peel Thunder or West Perth in a elimination final.
The colts kick things off at 9am on Saturday with the reserves playing at 11:30am and the league team rounding out proceedings at 2:15pm.
