Perth and the West Coast Eagles began their battle over the fifth and last finals position on Saturday with the co-tenants battling it out at Lathlain's Mineral Resources Park and it was the Eagles who prevailed by 19 points.

The Perth Football Club hosted the inaugural Perth Redlegs v HJ's West Coast Owls legends match as the curtain raiser for the Perth v West Coast Eagles WAFL Round 18 clash.

Perth won the cup, with the final score being:

HJ's West Coast Owls: 4.1 (25)
