Demons Record Consecutive Pulsating Win

PERTH held on for more than ten minutes in the final quarter to defeat Claremont for the second time this season, this time by four points at the Claremont Showgrounds on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Demons notched their second win in as many weeks on the back of their victory against flag-favourites East Fremantle last weekend, cementing themselves seventh on the ladder with five wins for 2016.

 

The win was even more significant for the Demons, who were missing captain Dene White (back) and Angus Graham (hand) through injuries, and also lost defender Jared Bell to a knee injury in the early stages of the match. The injury is believed to be not serious.

Round 15 Preview Perth vs Claremont

After a hard-fought 11-point win against East Fremantle last week, Perth travels to the Showgrounds this Saturday where they will take on Claremont.

Cody gives Demons a leg up

A best-on-ground performance from Perth youngster Cody Leggett inspired the Demons to their fourth win of the season, as the home side prevailed over East Fremantle 15.14 (104) to 14.9 (93).

 

Leggett, playing just his 24th league game for the club, kicked a personal best seven-goal haul, six of which coming in the first half, setting the Demons up for a hard-fought 11-point win.

 

Leggett was instrumental in setting a platform for his teammates in the first half, more so in the second quarter where the Demons kicked six goals to four after trailing at quarter-time.

 

The win is the club’s fourth for the season, doubling the amount of wins recorded in 2015, moving past Claremont into seventh position on the ladder in the process.

East Perth’s seven-goal final quarter onslaught proved to be the difference on Saturday afternoon, after leading by just ten points at three-quarter-time to defeat Perth 14.18 (102) to 10.6 (66).

Jared Bell - A Young Player On The Rise

Little much was know of Jared Bell when he first arrived at the Perth Football Club.

 

Bell played his junior football for the South Perth Stingrays.  At the Stingrays Bell would win a premiership in 2011.
