Perth District enjoys successful Nicky Winmar Carnival

The Nicky Winmar squad started with training two days a week Tuesdays and Thursdays at treasure road oval Queens Park 6:00pm to 7:30pm. With numbers building leading up to the carnival we averaged 20 boys per training session which was a great outcome. State Youth AFL 9's Tournament

The search is on for the best Youth AFL 9s team in the state, with registrations opening this week for the inaugural AFL 9s Youth State Tournament.

The event will be held at Britannia Reserve, Leederville on Wednesday April 16.

AFL 9s is the Australian Football League’s fun, fast and exciting alternative version of the game.

PREMIERSHIP PLAYER HONOURED

The Perth Football Club was well represented at a special function in Kings Park on February 15 for the dedication of a plaque to honour one of the our first premiership players, Richard Kennedy. Richard was killed in action in France in 1918, only months before the end of World War One. He was aged 41.
