East Perth showed up Perth’s lack of height all over the ground on Saturday as they rotated their tall players of Callum Sinclair, Paul Johnson, Scott Lycett, Fraser McInnes and Josh Smith in a dominant display to defeat the Demons by 80 points at Lathlain Park.
Kicking with the use of the breeze Perth hit the scoreboard in the first minute of play through Captain Paul Bevan. The Royals soon responded through big man Callum Sinclair and then another to Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls.

The campaign to have Ern Henfry admitted to the AFL Hall of Fame had its origins eight years ago under Damian Matthews’ presidency. That’s when our two existing Hall of Fame members, Merv McIntosh (who died in 2010) and Barry Cable, along with Terry O’Connor QC who had just stepped down as an AFL commissioner, wrote testimonials supporting his case.

The Perth Football Club is delighted that Ern Henfry's outstanding contribution to our great game over five decades has been recognised by his elevation to the Australian Football League's Hall of Fame.
He is the third Perth champion to receive the honour. The others are star ruckman Merv McIntosh and dynamic rover Barry Cable, who is one of a select group of AFL Legends.

The West Australian Football League recorded its largest attendance for a single Round since 2011 with a total of 17,580 attending Carlton Draught Rivalry Round on the WA Day long weekend.
This was a 21% increase on last year’s WA Day long weekend crowd of 14,480 and the largest since 18,138 attended WA Day long weekend games in 2011.

Once again Perth gave up a match winning lead of over 6 goals to go down to a fast finishing Swan Districts side at Lathlain Park on Saturday.
Played in fine and overcast conditions it was Perth who were making all the running early in the match. Mitch Morton kicked the game’s first major at the 4 minute mark and then followed this up with another almost straight away.

Round 10 sees Perth take on Swan Districts at Lathlain Park this Saturday, 31 May.
This week is Carlton Draught Rivalry Round and you couldn’t pick two better teams to go head to head with each other. There was the game in round four last year where Christian Eyres kicked the goal that sealed a 2-point win for the Demons up at Bassendean; Brett Robinson kicking two late goals in the return fixture in round 11 last year to help Swans to a 4-point win and then who could forgot the game this season with late goals to Tony Notte and Ryan Davis sealing a 1-point win for the Black Ducks.
