On Thursday the 31st of August the AFL Education Forum was in town for their annual meeting and headed out to South Perth Primary School for a morning of program demonstration.
One of the top AFL School Ambassadors Darryl Mansfield brought the delegates from all states and territories (including AFL Game Development Manager Josh Vanderloo and AFL Education Manager Mark Riddiford) in to show them how we operate in the west.

On Wednesday the 30th of July, the WAFC held the annual awards dinner for the AFL School Ambassadors Awards.
The night is to recognise the hard work by all school teachers throughout the state who put in tireless work and effort to develop football in Western Australia.

On Tuesday 29th of July the Demons District descended on Moora Football Club to play the annual Metro vs Country zone final for the Eagles Schoolboys Cup. Clontarf SHS (metro) went up against Dongara SHS (country) for the title of Demons District champions.

Last Thursday the WAFC hosted the annual multicultural round breakfast at Pattersons Stadium.
The Demons District staff and stakeholders from Lynwood FC, Australian Islamic School and Queens Park JFC joined us for a great morning. The event was hosted by game Development Manager Warren Nel and included a Q&A session with West Coast Eagles Superstar and Multicultural Ambassador Nic Naitanui, Richmond FC’s Bachar Houli and the WAFC's own Multicultural officer Paul Mugambwa.

Last Friday night the Demons District and Thornlie Junior Football Club hosted the inaugural Kirby Bentley Cup indigenous youth girls football carnival under lights at Tom Bateman Reserve.
The best indigenous girls from around the state – including Goldfields and Geraldton put their skills to the test for matches against the Perth metro districts with over 150 participants in total.
