Telstra has teamed up with AFL stars Chris Mayne and Marc LeCras in giving away thirty $5,000 grants through the new "Telstra Club Commitment" program, meaning a total of $150,000 will be invested into the game at a grassroots level to help support clubs across the state. Club representatives from registered local Australian football clubs are encouraged to enter for the chance to win. Fans can show their support, and improve their club’s chances of winning, by uploading a photo of them supporting their club

Eagles Visit Vic Park Raiders
This week the Victoria Park Raiders Junior Football Club were visited by West Coast Eagle players Scott Lycett, Sharrod Wellingham, Dom Sheed, Adam Carter and newly appointed Perth Development Officer Chris Brown.
The Raiders players were split into groups for the night performing various training drills. This allowed the Eagles players to get around to all the groups and give them advice on how to improve their skills.
Demons turn in to Black Swans
The 2014 State Academy has been released with four Perth players making it into the 16s and 18s squads. While Clem Smith’s natural talent and stellar performances with our League side and with the AIS–AFL Academy made him an obvious inclusion, the next generation of Demon’s players are progressing through the talent pathway with John Levien, Kristian Morisey and Sam Perkusich breaking into the WA16s Squad.
Slick Subi too quick for Demons
A fast running Subiaco side clearly showed why they are on top of the WAFL ladder as they out ran Perth for much of the day to run out winners by 34 points at Lathlain Park on Saturday.
Perth Captain Paul Bevan won the toss and kicked to the northern end of the ground. It was the Lions though that kicked the first goal through Simon Moore in the opening minute of play. In a fast paced match small forward Joel Leeson booted the Demon’s first major at the 8 minute mark.
